Twisted Belly Vase – Vista Alegre

Antique Porto presents a superb example of Portuguese display porcelain: a turned and twisted-bellied vase from the Vista Alegre Porcelain Factory.

The piece features rich 18th-century inspired decoration, characterized by alternating twisted bands decorated with delicate garlands of polychrome naturalist flowers, coral-red reserves, and cobalt-blue accents. The cylindrical neck repeats the geometric theme, with the entire piece unified by exuberant and meticulous fine gold ornamentation, applied with absolute technical precision.
