Elegant American table clock from the late 19th century, with a rosewood veneer case, a fine finish highly valued in Victorian furniture.
The dial features Roman numerals, and the internal brass mechanism retains the original label with instructions (“Directions for Setting the Clock”), indicating American manufacture — possibly from the Seth Thomas , Waterbury , Ansonia , or New Haven manufacturers, all recognized for the quality of their winding mechanisms.
