An important and striking large biscuit porcelain sculptural group, depicting a pair of cockatoos perched on a tree trunk adorned with high-relief foliage.
The piece stands out for the extraordinary anatomical precision in the modelling of the birds, visible in the meticulous detail of the plumage and the uprightness of the crests. The colour palette, entirely hand-applied, displays soft nuances of pastel tones that harmoniously contrast with the vibrant green of the botanical base, imbuing the composition with unparalleled naturalism and vivacity.
The base features the official Vista Alegre mark corresponding to the 1970s (Mark 34 from the manufacturer's mark catalogue), also bearing the handwritten authentication inscription "Pintado à mão" (Hand-painted).
This is a work of undeniable technical and aesthetic grandeur, highly collectible and with an exceptional decorative profile, perfectly suited for the High Decoration and Prestige Collecting segment.
