About the Carvalhinho Factory:
Founded in 1841 in Porto, the factory moved to Vila Nova de Gaia in 1923, becoming the most important ceramic company in Northern Portugal. It produced everything from tiles and household tableware to high-quality decorative pieces that replicated antique earthenware. Between 1929 and 1965, it was associated with the Sacavém Factory, which influenced some of its decorative motifs. The factory closed permanently in 1977.
A collector's item that combines historical, artistic, and possibly institutional value, perfect for ornamental plants or as a standalone decorative element celebrating the excellence of Portuguese ceramics.
