The Lady Pattern

The "Dama" pattern is one of the most romantic and cherished decorations from Vista Alegre from the late 19th and early 20th centuries. The central medallion features a delicate painting of a young woman in period costume, holding a bouquet of lilac flowers. The female figure has her brown hair tied back and wears an elegant pink dress with light blue details.

The painting is executed with refined technique, characteristic of Vista Alegre artists, with soft shading, attention to detail in the clothing and flowers, and a harmonious color palette that evokes the romantic aesthetic of the Belle Époque.

Gold Decoration

The portrait is framed by elegant ears of wheat applied in gold, which extend gracefully across the body of the teapot, creating a balanced and sophisticated composition. The gold trim on the lid's rim, spout, and base complements the decoration, adding luxury and refinement to the piece.

Historical Period (1881-1921)

This teapot was produced during one of Vista Alegre's most important periods, when the factory consolidated its international reputation for the quality of its porcelain and the artistic excellence of its decorations. The stork mark, visible on the base, is characteristic of this period and attests to the authenticity and provenance of the piece.

At that time, Vista Alegre produced highly refined pieces for the Portuguese and European aristocracy and upper bourgeoisie, with decorations hand-painted by specialized artists.
