Exceptional and imposing pair of baluster-shaped vases with a raised circular base, handcrafted on the iconic island of Murano, Venice.
Superb blown glass duo in a deep and translucent ruby-red hue, ornamented using the historic and complex Venetian technique Tre Fuochi (Three Fires). The neck and circular base are entirely covered by a dense 24-carat gold leaf trim, which extends to the body in an elegant and intricate geometric lace pattern.
The main decorative element lies in the symmetrical central medallions, hand-engraved with floral branches in enameled high-relief (high enamel) in shades of white, sky-blue, and pink, giving the piece a rich three-dimensional texture.
