Antique Porto presents a piece of great display and decorative appeal: a monumental lidded vase (table urn), manufactured in porcelain at the turn of the 19th to the 20th century.
The body of the piece boasts a beautiful and classic Empire Green satin finish, creating a sophisticated contrast with the central medallion. This reserve displays a classical figurative pictorial representation, richly hand-painted, depicting characters in Hellenistic and mythological inspired costumes in an idyllic setting.
The refinement extends to the original lid, which features a second miniature reserve with a complementary classical scene, unified by delicate gold decorative filaments. A piece of great visual impact, ideal for enhancing a fireplace, sideboard, or high-end display cabinet.
- Double Hand Painting: Both the main scene on the body and the miniature medallion on the lid were entirely hand-painted, ensuring the exclusivity of the piece.
- Imposing Silhouette: The neoclassical design with a pedestal base elevates the volume and sophistication of the ensemble.
- Condition: Very good overall condition for its age. It maintains the integrity of the porcelain structure and the painting is well legible, showing only natural and slight wear on the gold patina, typical of its age.
