An evocative charcoal drawing capturing the timeless architecture of the Douro region, signed and dated by the prominent Portuguese visual artist Jaime Silva in 1981.

This delicate work depicts a traditional Portuguese building with distinctive features—arched doorway, tiled roof, and aged facades—executed in subtle shades of gray and sepia. The artist's atmospheric and loose technique conveys the tranquil dignity of Portuguese rural life along the Douro River.

He was a founding member of the influential Puzzle Group in 1975, a scholarship recipient from the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation in Paris, and a painting teacher at renowned institutions such as AR.CO and the National Society of Fine Arts.
